Do you watch August roll around the calendar and wish you were more ready for back to school time?
Waking up early, getting lunches ready, rushing everyone out the door on time and all that homework – it’s enough to bring on whining and tears (from parents and kids!)
With so much going on, it’s so easy to neglect you or your family’s health and let the stress take over.
No one else is going to step in and save your family. It’s up to you. Most people put health stuff off until “someday.”
That’s why there are so many sick, overweight, undernourished and stressed-out families today.
Getting rid of the stress actually means making time to slow down and get healthier.
Why is it so important to “smell the roses”?
Whoever invented that phrase knows the power of essential oils – to help you calm down… and also get healthier.
Of all our five senses, doctors say that our sense of smell has the strongest effect on our mind.
And there’s no denying the powerful effect your mind has on your health.
But is it just smelling something nice that makes you feel better? Why are essential oils such a help?
Few would argue that plants are packed with healing vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients.
Essential oils are concentrated plant goodness.
For example, it takes about 150 pounds of lavender flowers to create one ounce of essential oil. And your body instantly absorbs this goodness, either through your skin or when you breathe in the scent through your nose.
Different oils have different benefits.
Spearmint, peppermint and tangerine essential oils are wonderful for this.
Why not apply a few drops to you or your child’s wrists or on the back of the neck?
You can find a combination of these oils called GeneYus.
Many people have discovered bergamot, lemon and palmarosa essential oils to help them think happier thoughts.
Blend these oils together? It’s called Joy oil.
It’s simply amazing for helping you de-stress, fall asleep, and sleep deeper.
Since it’s natural, you can use it nightly.
Apply 2 or 3 drops in your bath water, rub it over your child’s pillow or onto their feet before bedtime.
Essential oils to the rescue!
Can a disinfectant be less toxic than vinegar and still be a hospital-grade antimicrobial?
Yes it can.
Plants use essential oils to protect themselves from invading microbes.
Thyme is classified by the EPA as having no known adverse effects to human health or the environment.
Rosemary is just as safe and powerful.
Combine rosemary oil with cloves, lemon, cinnamon and eucalyptus oils and you have the unstoppable germ-killing force known as Thieves oil.
You can even find this in gel form.
It’s a terrific (and all-natural) hand sanitizer.
How much better this is than the alcohols, ammonia and chlorine you find in most disinfectants.
It’s so much easier to organize everything else!
With essential oils, you’re taking a huge step to helping your family live healthier.
Now where are the scissors, calculators, paper…and all those school forms to fill out?
Life takes it out of you. I’d love to help you put it back in.
