You heard that cinnamon spice and coconut oil help manage blood sugar – but you probably haven’t seen what essential oils can do.
To win the war against diabetes, you’ll want to be ready to explore new alternatives to fight this metabolic murderer.
And learn all you can about your body and how it works.
Especially since 10% of Americans are already diabetic (and another unsuspecting 8 million of us will get the awful diagnosis this year.)
Your body regularly turns food into sugar. This sugar travels through your blood to your body cells.
In a normal body, the pancreas makes insulin, which allows the sugar to get from the blood into the cells. The cells use the sugar as fuel.
However, in type 1 diabetics, the body makes no insulin.
In an effort to stay alive, the sugar-starved cells try to use fat instead for energy.
However, this causes sugar and toxins to build up in the blood, often to deadly levels.
Before the more common type 2 diabetes happens in a person, body cells have become drenched in toxins. (Usually from poor diet and lifestyle habits.)
This causes the body cells to “ignore” the insulin made by the pancreas.
Without insulin, your blood cannot dump its load of sugar. This can damage your brain, eyes, heart, kidneys, blood vessels and more.
The pancreas tries to compensate by making more and more insulin. Over time it gets tired, quits trying and essentially you can become like a type 1 diabetic.
I’m not saying you don’t need the needle in the arm. You might.
I’ve seen loved ones almost die because they didn’t want to go to the doctor. With diabetes, you really should find a good doctor.
On the other hand, there’s a reason they call it practice. Lots of people die from the wrong medication or too much (or too little) of the right meds.
And diabetes medicine doesn’t make you healthier. It just gets rid of symptoms.
The more you can use natural, plant-based ways to reduce your sugar woes, the less meds you’ll need, the healthier you’ll be and the better you’ll feel.
And that’s what essential oils are: powerful, plant-based ways to reduce your sugar woes.
Your body has 50 million olfactory receptors in your nose. All of these allow essential oil vapor to go directly to your blood stream and start acting immediately.
That’s why cinnamon powder helps a bit… but cinnamon oil is nothing short of amazing.
Doctors are starting to praise cinnamon (and its essential oil) for pancreatic support, lowering glucose, weight loss and general diabetes prevention and management.
In fact, they’re saying cinnamon significantly lowers fasting blood glucose.
However, a little dab’ll do. Go easy on the cinnamon oil. Otherwise, it just might lower your blood sugar too much!
You might find yourself having to lower the amount of medication you take. However, consult your doctor before making any change to your medication.
Many other essential oils are also known as powerful sugar regulators: coriander, clove, myrrh, clary sage, ocotea, vetiver, lemon, ylang ylang, thyme, orange, marjoram, cyprus, fenugreek, black pepper and lavender.
Why this long list? Well, if you can’t find one of these oils, try another.
And while they’re all recognized for their efficacy, everybody is different.
You’ll probably find that one works better for you than another.
Your body loves these natural oils and your skin absorbs them quickly.
This is why a visit to a well trained massage therapist can help you so much.
A knowledgeable massage therapist can tell you which oils work best on your skin.
As well as which ones and how much of them to use for your unique health concerns.
